Our Story

Out West Atelier started out of necessity.

While living in Guam, there were no furniture stores that offered pieces worth keeping. Everything felt temporary. Instead of settling, I built what I couldn't find.

What began as a challenge became a craft. Early pieces were simple. With time and repetition, the work improved. Our home became a testing ground, filled with furniture built to solve real problems. Friends started asking for pieces of their own.

One design in particular gained traction fast. Orders came in faster than I could keep up. That was the moment it became clear this was more than a one-off effort.

But the real reason Out West Atelier exists is older than Guam.

There is a rocking chair in my family that has been passed down for generations. It does not belong to any trend. It does not need to be replaced. It just exists, the way good things do, outlasting everything around it. That chair is what I think about when I build.

Every piece that leaves this shop is made with the same intention. Solid hardwood. Traditional joinery. A finish that protects without compromise. Built for the person who buys it, and for whoever comes after them.

This is furniture made to be used, lived with, and kept for years.
